This data protection declaration informs users about the method, purpose and scope of the collection and usage of personal data by the responsible provider medicut Stent Technology GmbH, Christinstraße 15, 75177 Pforzheim, e-mail info@medicut.de, tel. +49 (0) 7231 280 10-0 on this website (referred to in the following as the “offering”).
The legal basis for data protection is found in the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
Access data / server logfiles
The provider (or his webspace provider) collects data about every access to the offering (so-called server logfiles). The access data include:
- Name of accessed website
- File, date and time of access
- Transmitted data volume
- Notification of successful access
- Browser type and version
- Operating system of the user

- IP address and provider from whom the query originated
The provider will only exploit the protocol data for statistical analysis for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offering. However, the provider reserves the right to retrospectively check the protocol data if, based on concrete evidence, there is justified suspicion of illegal use.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information that can be used to determine the identity of a person, i.e. data that can be traced back to a person. This includes their name, e-mail address or telephone number. In addition, data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or visited websites also count as personal data.
Personal data will only be collected, exploited and disclosed by the provider if this is permitted by law or if the users consent to the collection of such data.
Making contact
When making contact with the provider (for example via the contact form or by e-mail), the data for the user will be saved for the purpose of dealing with the inquiry and in case there are any follow-up questions that arise.
Embedding of third-party services and content
It is possible that, within this online offering, third-party content, e.g. videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, are embedded. This is always based on the assumption that the providers of such content (referred to in the following as "third-party providers") can identify the IP address of the users. Without the IP address they would be unable to send the content to the browser of the relevant user. The IP address is therefore required in order to display such content. We aim to only use content from providers who solely use the IP address for the purpose of delivering said content. However, we have no influence on whether or not the third-party providers save the IP address e.g. for statistical purposes. In cases where we are aware of this we will inform the users.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that are used to save specific information relating to the access device of the user (PC, smart phone or similar). They serve the purpose of firstly making websites easier to use for the users (e.g. by saving login information). Secondly, they are also used to collect the statistical data for website usage so that this data can be analyzed for the purpose of improving the offering. Users can influence how cookies are used. Most browsers have an option that can be used to restrict or completely prevent cookies from being saved. However, in this case the usage and in particular the ease of use will be restricted if cookies are disabled.
You can control many online advertising cookies from companies via the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ .
Cancellation, changes, corrections and updates
The user has the right to obtain at no cost information about his personal data that has been saved. In addition, the user also has the right to correction of incorrect data, and blocking and deletion of his personal data, provided this is not in conflict with a legal obligation to store said data.
